The hottest rocking American star Kid Rock, who will be performing in the Isle of MTV free concert at the Granaries on Wednesday, arrived in Malta yesterday. The rocking star will be presenting his mix of Southern rock, blues and country-tinged ballads and hip-hop. Known for his hits Cowboy and All Summer Long, he would be joining top American band Scissor Sisters and Kelis, with other performers. Music industry superstars Eric Clapton, Dave Matthews Band and Kid Rock have all entered into exclusive agreements with Seven45 Studios to provide songs for Power Gig, Rise of the SixString, the first band videogame for which the guitar peripheral is a functioning six-string electric guitar. The deals mark the first time ever that songs from each of the three artists will appear as part of a music videogame. Power Gig Rise of the SixString will be available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 October 2010. The Kid Rock does not just want a songwriting partner. He wants a friend. Rock says he’s had musicians he doesn’t even know send him computer files of songs they want his input on, but Rock cut that out. He says it’s much easier if he hangs out with someone for a while before they ever write anything because the connections come across in the song. On June 11th the rocking Kid Rock faced the challenging task of following Reba McEntire and Keith Urban at the CMA Music Festival’s Friday night concert. The latest news about the kid rock fans are he will play a few shows this summer, but he won’t do an extensive tour until the fall, after the album is released. When Kid Rock broke during in 1998 with his rap-rock masterpiece Devil Without a Cause, the minority would have imagined the hard-partying son of Detroit would one day be embraced by a country-music audience let alone host the CMT Music Awards, which honors the best in country music videos. Kid Rock along with David Guetta Going to The Isle of MTV was a top story. Here it is again the duo will perform at the Isle of MTV live music event in Malta on 30 June. The concert, which will take place on Il Fosos Square in Malta’s ancient and picturesque city, Floriana, will also broadcast in September as a one-hour programme, Isle of MTV Malta Special, across MTV’s network of European channels. There is no doubt that the legendary icon Kid Rock is extensively known as being one of the world’s most exciting, dynamic live performers and David Guetta’s special live performance with vocalist Chris Willis.
