eneath The Red Dawn was conceived in autumn of 2004 in Green Pond, New Jersey. After writing material for over a year and forming a lineup Beneath The Red Dawn made their first true live appearance in early 2006 along with the recording of two demos ("Vacant Sky" and "Cathedral"). In the summer of 2006 the band entered to record their first studio effort entitled This Cold Mourning. The E.P. consisted of the first songs that the band wrote throughout the course of their short existence. Ultimately, due to various reasons the band was unsatisfied with the E.P. which was released in December of 2006. The band then ensued to self record the E.P. over again, with the addition of another song entitled 'Unveil the Dead' thus making it a full length. The full length was released in December of 2007, just a month after sharing the stage with the legendary death metal outfit Possessed at Jaxx in Virginia and B.B. King's in Times Square. The E.P. is now out of print while the full-length version of This Cold Mourning is still for sale.

       Throughout this time the band went through several lineup changes while still being able to support the studio releases. The band was also constantly busy writing new material as well. Finally, with the arrival of August 2008 the band began to start recording their next full-length release entitled Reverence Obscure. While the songs from this release were all originally written in 2006, they saw some revisions as throughout the recording process the band saw more lineup changes. The album is finally set to be released in late June 2009 and will be supported with a release show and other live performances this coming summer. Looking further into the future Beneath The Red Dawn still has an ample amount of material that has yet to be recorded as the band pursues a more widespread following and opportunities to be recognized and distinguished.
